Thanks for taking the time to put this together and for the thoughtful analysis. It’s important to remember that Hard Modes, the jewelry system, and many of the supporting Chapter 7 systems are still very new. We don’t yet have the complete chapter roadmap released, and there are additional systems and content planned that could significantly impact acquisition rates, progression, and overall balance. For now, we’d like to let the data continue to develop and see how these items circulate through the economy and player base over time. Rather than making adjustments based on early observations, we’ll table this discussion for the moment and revisit it once more of the Chapter 7 content and systems have been released and we’ve had time to evaluate the full picture. The GCW grind is intended to be a long-term progression system, but the time investment, especially with setbacks, can feel punishing for newer or returning players trying to catch up. I personally agree that there may be some room to slightly reduce the time per rank, potentially bringing it closer to around one week per rank. This could help make progression feel more consistent and also make it easier for players returning from a break to get back into things without feeling too far behind. Capturing Crash Dumps for SwgClient_r.exe and Analyzing Them with WinDbg If you're troubleshooting crashes with the SWG client, you can configure Windows to generate full crash dumps when SwgClient_r.exe crashes. These dumps can then be analyzed with WinDbg. Note: If you are not comfortable modifying the registry, do not proceed. 1. Enable Crash Dumps Open Registry Editor Win + R Type: regedit Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Error Reporting Create a new key if it does not exist: LocalDumps Inside LocalDumps create another key named: SwgClient_r.exe Your registry path should look like: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE └ SOFTWARE └ Microsoft └ Windows └ Windows Error Reporting └ LocalDumps └ SwgClient_r.exe Add the following values: DumpFolder REG_EXPAND_SZ C:\CrashDumps DumpType REG_DWORD 2 DumpCount REG_DWORD 2 Create the folder: C:\CrashDumps When the client crashes, dumps will appear there. Registry Example 2. I’m sure the marketing department there had absolutely nothing to do with this post. The idea of billboards or hiring an ad barker to advertise player shops or events is actually a pretty fun concept. Having a way for players to promote their establishments around the galaxy could help newer players discover places they might otherwise miss. Clearly, as you mentioned, some adventurers have spent literal years wandering the desert of Dantooine before stumbling upon the thriving metropolis that is Spiceville. Now, while some individuals may publicly complain about places like the Spiceville Mall, we all know the truth. Certain people loudly protest it in public… and then quietly show up later to buy buffs, supplies, and probably a decorative lamp or two. I’m not naming names, but if someone named Tank happens to be seen browsing the aisles there, we will of course treat that information with the utmost discretion. All jokes aside, it’s a creative idea and we’ll pass it along for consideration.
