We do auto feed to SWGAide. We have a a resource page on our website and the one Chavex mentioned is being built.

I've been using the resource page but it's just a bit more difficult to search for specific resources which is why I asked about GH. I'm excited about the new resource page being built - thanks for letting me know!

Best I can do is set topics to always cross post back to discord so people there are still in the loop and organized conversations can happen here.

Thanks - I appreciate the explanation Rezec! It seems like everyone is on Discord and if you want any info or help you MUST use it. Before Discord people used forums like this one to communicate about the game and I'm hoping maybe it goes back to that someday. Thanks for all you do!

Welcome to the Evolve community Rynde! I too am a long time player since 2005 and was on Shadowfire. This hybrid system is awesome and is IMO the best I've seen so far. I'm brand new to the server as well and I'm still getting used to the changes but once you're on Discord you'll have no problem getting your questions answered. The ticketing system for SWG: Evolve is moving here, because the Discord Bot that we have been using is a pain for our CSRs. You can't truly archive and organize past tickets due to Discord limitations.

Official discussions for ideas and suggestions were moved here because discussions on Discord are poorly managed, hard to follow and get lost with cross talk and chatter.

This same reasoning is why many sections like QA, CSR, Staff and Player Council sections are being completely moved to the forums. Discord is a fine platform for instant communication, but it is highly lacking in both security and trying to keep things organized. The feature of "threads" was Discord's attempt at copying a feature from Forums, but people don't utilize those enough.

Anything important from the forums that need duplicated are set to feed from the forums back to Discord without the use of a third-party bot.

I'm having an issue with my Entertainer: Every time I try to buff my one of my characters (no matter where I am - Cantina's or my house) I get this message: "You cannot inspire that person because they're not watching you". I've tried logging off each instance, restarting each instance with no luck. I'm thinking this is some kind of bug - any ideas?

Several aspects of the SWG: Evolve Discord are being streamlined and minimized as our project reduces dependency on Discord as an official platform. The SWG: Evolve Discord will remain, but with less focus and less functionality."

What do you mean you're reducing dependency on Discord as an official platform? This is fine by me but what are you going to replace it with?

Expertise Point are "bought" with experience. Specific Weapons will require their specific weapon experience and Combat Skill trees will require combat experience.

A wiki is coming soon to help people.

You gain experience through quests, mission terminals or kills. You will get BOTH combat xp and weapon specific xp for your equipped weapon. You get a starter weapon of every type.

I just joined the server and I'm thrilled to be here! Is there a Discord link address so I can add the server to my account? I've been playing SWG since 2005 and was originally on the Shadowfire server. I'm primarily a crafter and have crafted everything there is to craft and specifically Beastmaster so I hope to have a store up and running as soon as I can remember how to start at the beginning again lol.

For the last many years I have tried out several of the SWG Communities that have emerged since the original leak of the source code. As someone with a programming background, any time I play on one of these servers I always have ideas creep up on me about what I would do different. I have been back and forth on launching my own project for the last 3 years. Ultimately, here we are 4 months into the launch of Evolve. Many of the changes I have made and systems I have designed don't fit in with an existing projects because some of what I am doing is a radically different approach. SWG: Restoration may be the closest thing, but I didn't want to walk backwards towards the CU. I wanted to take things forward with re-implementing and rebuilding the multi-class system into the NGE and the Expertise System and creating the "Classless" Skill System we have now. These changes along with many quality of life improvements is something I hope really sets this server apart from many of the others.

I'm brand new to the server but have been playing SWG since 2005 and was originally on the Shadowfire server. I'm impressed with what you've done with your new approach and am looking forward to crafting and not being broke lol. I've been on Legends since 2018 and found the server to be excellent but a bit restrictive IMO. I hope people will find your server and it grows and I will do what I kind to facilitate that.
