Seeing as the game doesn't check the account where the character belongs to, to the game it is, for all iontents and puposes, a different player. Now agree with the moral standpoint, from a technical standpoint, it is still valid. Just as a duel is, essentially, closed PvP. Even if it is forced onto others (which can, and maybe has to, also be morally debated).

Player choose to opt into the player bounty system when they pvp and death blow other players.

    Hmmmm..... I found this:
Player versus player (PvP) is a type of multiplayer interactive conflict within a game between human players.

This indicates that it is multiple players against multiple players. Going by your definition, ten on one is also PvP, as is killing you alt over and over (fight-clubbing). Maybe there needs to be clear consenses about what PvP is and how it impacts the BH system before (!) any changes are made.

It indicates that you need multiple parties, more than one human player, for pvp. A duel is multiple people. A player bounty contract is multiple people.

Hang on.... Since when is the BH system PvP? It's about a person taking up a contract on another person; in essence a duel where the hunter gets payed if the mark is defeated. In PvP, it's one faction against another; in this game empire against rebel alliance. This would mean that, unlike the original BH system, all other faction members able able to attach the hunter as well, as well as all faction members of the hunter are able to defeat the mark (and thus leaving the hunter without getting paid). It kind of defeats the entire point of the BH system, doesn't it?
Having said that; I think that a good bounth hunter is never going to pick a side. Afterall, a contract is a contract, no matter who puts it out; the empire, the alliance or whatever criminal organization out there.
I kind of make me wonder if the entire discussion about PvP and rank priviledges is relevant to begin with in regards to the BH system.
FYI: I'm one of those players that will hardly ever engage in PvP planetside. In space, that will be different story. 🙂

A player fighting against another player is the literal definition of pvp.

I agree with this! Coming from other low pop servers 7-8 toons with rules to enforce botting is actually better for everyone. Staff can keep track of who's who and the community has diversity with crafter and combat toons. 4 toons isn't quite enough to be self sustainable.

This is an MMO, which by definition is a SOCIAL game. No one person should be 100% self-sustainable. The backbone of a player economy is players trading between one another - not everyone doing everything themselves.

Evolve will always be a small population server if the economy is zero. We can't make decisions based on now, we have to make decisions based on the future.

After you read a lot of the subtext here, this seems like the age old gripe of some that people farming GCW while not Special Forces, is somehow illegitimate.

People farming a POI, if used with an invite macro and shared loot, isn't going to harm the server OR the economy, only the fragility of those who can't prey on others who don't enjoy PVP.

There are plenty of ATK PvE activities for farming GCW. In fact, there is even MORE ATK PvE potential for GCW than there currently is for PvP. This is not a PvE vs PvP debate, and suggesting that there is when it has not even remotely been a part of the conversation is disingenuous.

    RE:GCW

Except for the fact that there are massive rewards and buffs from GCW, which should definitely NOT be AFKable. Play the game.

4 toons with 4 online and a 5th slot when you unlock Jedi is more than enough. No single person should be able to do and be everything.

Cheesing stuff will always be part of gaming, especially a game like SWG, but I don't see that as a reason to give people the tools to do it more easily. There is not single argument in favor of multiple accounts or increased toon slots per account that isn't selfish and/or short sighted.

One account per person with the current amount of toon slots.

POIs tend to have faster respawns on NPCs and more NPCs than static spawns out in the wild. Some of them are also GCW related and benefit players with GCW points, as well as are party of some quests chains.

No reason or need to allow it. Keep POIs on the list of things not allowed to AFK.

I can think of no legitimate need or use for a second about that isn't cheesy or greasy. All it does is inflate the economy, decrease player interdependence, and create a meta of needing multiple accounts.

We've already had things nerfed/ruined in the few weeks since server launch because of people abusing multiple accounts.

    Only one account per player.

Along with weapons being un-bio'd when unlocking Jedi, perhaps Backpacks too.
Recalibration ability. I know Beyond implemented it for the SFP CD bug, its a great idea. Works for SFP/Officer Runs/Cleanses etc. Keep getting +700Second CDs on my SFP
Remove Familiar buff timer. Let it be permanent
Allow Master SquadLeaders too call a GPP when NOT group lead and have a group member within 20meters.

Again, I think a fair tradeoff for choosing to unlock Jedi is dealing with potential biolinks that are no longer useful to it. In the grand scheme of things, a few biolinked weapons and a backpack is not a big deal, and one of the decisions that players will need to make when presented with the option of becoming a Jedi.

Recalibration is tricky because it can easily be used/exploited to get abilities off of cooldown that did not misfire. This is compounded with never seeing or hearing of a legitimate misfire of an ability in years of playing on servers that have recalibration. I lean towards the side of NOT having recalibration on Evolve because of the ease of potential abuse.

Familiar buff timers do serve a purpose to prevent them from possible exploits to stack them, but Rezec would need to chime in on that.

SL shouldn't need to be group lead to GPP, I see no harm in adjusting this if it isn't the case. That being said, having a group member within 20 meters to GPP is fair trade off.

Looking at it from those players perspectives who choose too unlock Jedi on their main toon. At that point, the weapons you have bio'd become useless and collect dust. Would rather see them removed and utilized on another toon rather than being packed in a bag and never touched again.

That could be considered one of the tradeoffs when you choose to unlock Jedi. I wouldn't count on biolinks going anywhere.

Was going through the trees and noticed theres no Cluster Bombs anywhere. Thoughts about adding them in? Also thoughts about weapons being having bio-link removed

Biolinks are the one thing that helps out a decay free economy. If anything, there should be more.

We can take a look at cluster bomb.

Master Squad Leaders abilities could improve with GCW rank? He cant be sitting on top of a guild hall shouting off commands, and the group abilities that are planetwide would only work if the MSL was S.F.

And give a waypoint the the MSL location when he/she/they spout off their abilities so that people know exactly where they are. This could be more carefully examined and tested. Perhaps make it so that bounty hunters cant join groups when on mission?

I would not be in support of any expertise being directly boosted by gcw - that's what expertise and 5pc sets are for and why there are buffs directly related to gcw rank. This is undeeded and would instantly create a meta tree within our classless system. No thanks.

I don't see the need for having a group waypoint for where there is a an MSL in group. Groups are only 8 people and it should be fairly evident who is a ga.

Master Squad leaders should have the create group pickup range extended to 64m (rifle range), or planetary so long as at least once person is grouped with them.

Allow Master Squad leader buffs to be region/planetary wide.

Too easily abused and exploited. I think that it's a fair tradeoff to require pickup range and buffs to be in close proximity.

I mention this one specifically because if memory serves you cannot repair the skiff at a garage they require Vehicle Repair Kits which are costly and with only 1500 hp it really isn’t worth the cost and/or trouble.

Yesterday there was a patch that made it so that a majority of vehicles can be repaired at garages, skiffs included.
