There is in fact a reason to add them to vendors as an extra source to prevent RNG gating something, just has to be the appropriate vendor. For example, beyond has an issue where there's 9000 buffs that are tied to legendary content and people are just W keying with 50 buff rows they got from PvE.

I think 100 gold chronicles is a more than fair pve alternative to these (for instance I have 7 gold chronicles, but near 200 FRS tokens despite already buying some things)

If there was regularly active pvp I'd say it's fine as is, but pvp has been extremely niche here for probably half a year. If the people that wanted this wanted to pvp, and I personally wish everyone pvped to some degree, they already would be.

In general I think small adjustments that improve the gaming lives of those that support the server (IE, those that donate/ run strangers through heroics even though they don't need them) and anything that promotes growth/ retention are pretty logical measures at this stage.

Currently the highest tier crystal for sell on the FRS vendor is equal to the ancient krayt pearls. PvP is not the only option for attaining that power level. The only tier higher is from the World Boss crates. Any vendor that would have those would diminish the usefulness of running world bosses regularly.

Chronicles could be easily cheesed/farmed for this and would be a terrible gameplay loop/gate for perfect saber crystals.

The Ancient Krayt pearls that I have gotten have not been on par with the FRS vendor. In fact, they have been lower.

This is the cap on the Ancient Flawless. Many of us were out there every night grinding away when we first hit Jedi. You want get a perfect tune everytime. I had many that were at 20/22 which is what the FRS vendor crystals offer before I managed to get these.

All that aside, I do want to reiterate on something since this has been quite awhile. That vendor did NOT launch with those power crystals. The pricing is not an indicator of "we think these are worth 200 FRS/4 straight weeks of pvp". These were added at a time when most of the current Jedi already had their flawless krayt pearls and when people had excess tokens to burn. So we added them at an insane price to burn tokens and give people something extra to sell.

It's possible I just have horrifying luck on the crates, but I'd estimate I've gotten around 200 World Boss tokens. 150 easy. I have never gotten a focus crystal or any of these power crystals. What about instead of chronicle tokens (I've never made a chronicle, just haven't gotten a lot of golds when others have made them, so a 100 sounds like a ton) maybe some of these high-end things go on the world boss vendor in the future?

The perfect crystal drop from the crate is very rare...I have only gotten one in all of the world boss runs. I have only gotten 3 of the ancient flawless to tune 21/23. The rest of my saber's crystals are the FRS flawless 20/22. I'm not sure what the drop rate of the Krayt pearls are...I have not actively hunted them for their pearls since they have been lowered in difficulty.

Krayt pearls will be a bit more common in some upcoming content that is planned, so this should alleviate some of the concerns.
