Factory Crate size - manually adjustable at time of schematic insertion?
-
I mentioned this during the World Boss run tonight.
Would it be possible to adjust all factories to have manually adjustable output/crate sizes based on user input when we load the schematic / start the factory?
I would envision the process to be something like this:1: Load the schematic
2: Radial and see a (new) option for desired output crate size (anywhere from 1-1000 - which is the current limit for factory schematics)
3: start factory (after ingredients are put in input hopper like normal)As I understand it, changing factory crate default sizes is something that needs to be done on a per item basis.
If this alternate method is feasible, the factory would control the output sizes, not the coding for the individual item. -

Adjustable factory output sizes controlled at the factory level rather than per item is an interesting concept and could be a strong quality of life improvement, especially for players managing large scale production.
You’re correct that output sizes are currently handled on a per item basis, so shifting that control to the factory itself would require a deeper look at how feasible that is from a technical standpoint. Development will take a look at this suggestion and evaluate what might be possible within the existing systems.
Thanks again for the detailed feedback.
