I am not sure if it has been suggested before, or if it's even possible.

I know other games allow you to swap saved builds. This would be useful to store a pvp build and a pve build on one character. It would also be useful, as an example if you needed an extra healer on the new hard-modes that are planned. I know this could be abused but if there was a cool down on the ability, then that would prevent that. A possible implementation of the cool-down, Out of combat, say 30 sec to swap the build and not usable again in say 24 hrs, possibly reduce cool-down timer as a credit sink to a min of 8hrs .

Again, not sure if it is doable, but if so please consider the quality of life improvement this would offer. Thank you

I would really like this too.
The one thing I see being a roadblock is that you need stored XP to "rebuild" your expertise choices/character build. The other server, and even a different game, that I've seen this ability on do not have that requirement that we have here.

There would need to be some type of "safety check" in place in the process that would verify you have all the stored xp you need for the various skills.

You can store up to 900K exp. It's plenty to switch builds, probably twice.

Yes, if you want to move stuff around with a weapon you have stored xp with.
If you want to move from TK to Pikeman, you need both. Just as an example.

Ultimately it takes an hour or two to grind up to 90 if you want to try something new...maybe even less if you get in a group. I've done it once, I was getting a LOT of xp just killing critters outside Eisley UNTIL I started assigning expertise points (leveling up - out leveling the xp) and had to move spots.

You need much less weapon XP than general XP when switching builds though. Either way it's easily solvable. If you're already lvl 90, just equip the weapon you wish to switch to on the build you already have "equipped" and go kill things that are your level. Takes less than 5 minutes.

Thank you for the suggestion. I really like this idea and agree that having the ability to swap between saved builds would offer a major quality of life improvement. Being able to keep a PvE and PvP setup on the same character, or swap roles when needed for harder content, would definitely add flexibility for players.

An approach using an NPC to store templates for a fee and handle the swaps could work well, especially with a cooldown or cost attached to prevent abuse. Development will take a look at this and assess how feasible it would be within the current system.
