Also, remove the restrictions against using numbers. The droid vendors are named things like J3DI, and most the droids in the movies this is based on have numbers in their names(R2-D2, C-3P0, BB-8, etc.), it is beyond ridiculous that I have to name my droid RV-PVI instead of R5-P6. Let's evolve...

BM Pets (and maybe CH too) gets your "groupable" buffs when pulled out.NORD, post: 2582, member: 16 wrote:
To be fair, being able to grant your toon with med/offy buffs on the fly no matter where you are is motivation for everyone to get the buff bot, regardless of BM being part of their build.
Agreed, and my purposed change would only make it more useful not only to BMs but also to big groups (like WB groups).

Agreed. Pets, especially BM pets, are already so powerful and we don't need that to be pushed over the edge by unintended buff transfer and/or situations where players can stack multiple of the same buff on a pet.
Agreed, in no way am I endorsing or suggesting that pets get all player buffs, just the groupable ones they can normally get now. Perhaps as a way to avoid the issue, but still solve the problem, we can make the Evolve Buff Bots just affect group (including a pet that is out)? They already have the buffs I'm really talking about (Doc and SL mainly). It would motivate more BMs to get one.
Edit: As an example, I click the buff bot (mine, or someone elses), and when it applies the buffs to me, it also applies (if applicable, obviously there is already something in place to prevent overwriting longer buffs) to anyone in my group (in the area), including my pet (same as if I'd casted them myself). Would be useful at things like WB too, where instead of someone having to pop one and everyone clicks it, whoever pops it can click it and buff the whole group. A bit like the flags work now (with the extra step of a click on the bot, but I think everyone would be ok with that).

BM Pets (and maybe CH too) gets your "groupable" buffs when pulled out.Currently pets lose all their buffs when you put them away, and the only way to buff them again when you pull them back out is to have Doctor and Squad Leader in your build to recast it. Even the Evolve Buff Bot doesn't put them on it. So my primary suggestion is that when you pull your pet out, it gains whatever "groupable" buffs you have on yourself. Not anything you wouldn't be able to put on it anyway, but the buffs that you would normally cast and both you and your pet get (basically Doc and Squad Leader buffs). Failing that (or may be as well as that), I would suggest making it so that if you use the Evolve Buff Bot, while your pet is out, you and your pet get the buffs. Then, at least, you could pop the Evolve Buff Bot and use it to refresh your buffs (as well as buff your pet).

Proposal for improvements to spaceRezec, post: 2540, member: 1 wrote:
I would like to take this opportunity to partner with you guys and collaborate on changes to space. In the past we had a good deal of backlash with making changes to Space. This lead to us loosing our dedicated space Dev and loosing a large portion of our space community.
We have this working concept of ship docking. Right now it works, but it is wide open. What I would like to gather from you guys are a set of parameters around docking.
Should docking with friendlies be restricted to members of the group?
Should enemy docking be restricted to a ship that is disabled or just a ship that is not moving/moving very slowly? What speed?
Think along these lines and let us know your ideas.Friendly should have a toggle (like private/public on houses) where I can set my POB to either allow anyone, or restrict to group only.
Enemy should only work if disabled (engine/reactor, at which point hyperspace should not function either).
There should be a self destruct that can be done if an enemy boards (to keep people from just hiding in the turrets) that if unchallenged the invader can use to destroy the ship. This will motivate those on board to defend their ship.
Also, the ability to launch again from the ship you've docked with, needs to be considered (and allowed), but not while disabled (except for the enemy who docked, while it was disabled).
