Each character created gets a set of starting weapons level 1. Progression here is fast. If you want a slower grind get missions from mission terminals. If you want to level fast do a non combat quest such as Supplies for the Miners. Once leveled can get all variety of weapons to use from my vendor except Rifles "/way tatooine -2618 1 -6408 Cheap 1 Credit Weapons".
