Nerf FRS robes for revamp

TL;DR: Instead of completely removing the stats from FRS robes, determine which ranks are overpowered and nerf them.
The logic I've heard behind de-statting the FRS robes are that rank 6 is OP and Jedi will be wearing armor. I understand that eventually I will be able to afford armor which is better than my robes, but why not let me keep that extra increase to my stats to help me on the money grind? It's nice for us folks that haven't been wearing armor this whole time, to have a little help through jedi crafting.

Hi Yeramia, I like your suggestion, however, I believe the main draw to this is to level the stat playing field between Jedi and Non-Jedi. You still will have access to your master cloak and belt as well as the 2pc bonus from that. So having armor with 35's and your Exotic attachments will give you more choices to build your character the way you want to. As well as giving you more aesthetic choices to build your own character how you want in SWG.

Okay I must've misunderstood and thought that the rank 6 robe would be the only one that didn't mesh, post revamp. Getting my 2 buddies in this server, I more just think about the average onboarding experience. What I personally need for my toon was just a small point, but I'm not worried. I appreciate that!
I also didn't take into account that, if you've unlocked Jedi and ran 10 heroics, clearly you already have decent armor; so I admit my premise was undercooked.
