Since i am now on staff and more than happy to make the community's wishes reality, i am looking to see what assets you would like to see added to the game. Weapons, wearables, vehicles. etc. Please feel free to use this thread so i may monitor suggestions and perhaps make many of them reality!

for space PVP it would be cool to have a version of every low end ship that has higher mass limits. Like an ACE tie fighter that has enoguh mass to carry parts to fight in high end PVP battles.

The Great Space debate on ships will forever continue.. But until then.. The Tie Defender. Equal to the Adv X wing ( 3 cannons) is 180k mass. ( Available from GCW Vendor/ "station tokens " from 'space battle's") The tie's ( or 'heavy tie") one cannon is the focus of debate mostly. But Ive seen a Tie ( heavy mass) 90k equipped well too. (PVP). End game component crafting is still wide open on this server.. The sky is the limit and Space is the place you Ace. welcome to the Galaxy. Oh .. I'm just a player, who does a fair bit of space content.

Yeah but I'm saying a tie fighter with 180k mass

That would be cool too adding touches to all ships.. I'm sure a dialog about all aspects of space content will come up soon. The ground content has been a player input / admin back and forth driven success. Keep comments coming. Space will get its turn. That i'm sure of.

Space will get it's time to shine, for sure; nothing has really evolved or changed about it since Nova Orion was introduced way back on live. A lot of servers also don't tend to touch space content on this game, which is unfortunate.

However, I just want to mention that while having higher mass variants of ships sounds nice on paper, it'll cause a lot of balancing issues beyond what already exists in practice. Instead of needing to build the best components to fit within the mass limit of each ship, you'll now be limited to moreso *what* you can slot into the ship based on how many slots it has.

Multi-weapon ships already outperform any and every 1-weapon ship in every area. The only thing that give 1-weapon chassis any potential "relevance" are missiles, and missiles are a necessity in PvP regardless of ship chosen. Increasing mass limits will only reduce Time To Kill, and TTK is already very low as it is with missiles and component targeting enabled. (Something we attempted to change, but was met with quite the bit of backlash and thus reverted.)

That also being an example of the SWG space community being very much traditionally minded; any kind of change is going to need delicate care and a lot of convincing to sell people on. It's going to have to be handled with the utmost care regardless of what is done. A way to keep the veterans happy, while also still bringing a new fresh flavour to an experience that is incredibly unique to SWG, but never truly realized it's potential.

Ultimately, I agree that space needs a lot of updating and work. It'll come.

I see your point however it does stand to reason that regardless of weapons a skilled pilot who has repeatedly similar parts will have the advantage over some one who is not a skilled pilot.

Was just concidering this again. Let's say a tie fighter can have 180k versus an x-wing with 180k. Sure the x wing will have the extra set of guns but the tie fighter could compensate with better shields armor engines or other components. Honestly it would be interesting to do a test to see how well or how horribly things would be balanced if the low end ships have ace pilot variants .

I'm new to space, so my opinion is probably uninformed, but I would love more TTK so that a fight could last longer and turn into more of a chess match.

What you can ask for is you get a blueprint to craft for a ship that im either all types of pilots can uses or new one for each type.

I think if they can do this is have it that your overload and such this you have in your droid that is always applied. Usually that is what you have to kill an eye on fighting.

Plus maybe place a vender guys you can have on land instead of flying to space station to grab. That’s something you asked to be added when they look at crafters.

I will definitely be looking forward to all this. And will begin my laundry list of suggestions
