Jedi effectiveness as tanks in PvE

With Jedi recently having the opportunity to resign from the FRS, there is a strong possibility of them being used in PvE content more (Heroics, Rebel/Imperial Theme Park group scenarios, etc.)

Jedi are already fairly strong in DPS and Healing when specced correctly. Jedi were highly sought after Tanks when specced into the LSJ tree. Even in SWG Live, LSJ only had access to Enrage (single target ranged taunt) and Guardian Strike (single target melee taunt).

SUGGESTION - Give Jedi access to an Area Ranged taunt (similar to Area Instigate) and make Guardian Strike an Area Melee taunt, to bring them up to the level of effectiveness as other tanks.

Guardian Strike already hits as a sweep, but it is still something like 12m.

With the upcoming changes to a good portion of classes, that's something that will probably be looked at during the course of those tweaks.

Honestly not too sure on what changes are happening to other classes or how people feel, but with jedi so easy to obtain, being an alpha class, FRS being optional and no punishment for losing fights, what's stopping the populace from having rank 6? Giving jedi the taunts as well defeats the purpose of the other tank roles already because of the damage mitigation that comes with FRS. I like the concept of jedi being versatile seeing how not only are they the most sought out class on the server but they also have built in ways to get stronger as time goes on. In my humble opinion if this gets implemented depending on the rework and balancing of the other classes outside of squad leader jedi could perform any role needed in any group better than the other classes could creating a more stagnant environment for classes/professions for a concept that boasts versatility. Not to mention the detriments to the economy that has yet to start to flourish.

I don't know what the Jedi skill tree is or what is available yet as I have not unlocked it, but it would be awesome to have a force sensitive tree that would have skill points to increase things such as complexity of crafting, increased resources, movement speed, additional innate armor, healing effectiveness, luck bonus, or things that would help enhance other professions because I can see at some point in time as Jedi being an alpha class we will eventually have a server over run by them when the reality is the freedom of choice of professions and being "classless" keeps creativity high and the professions diverse

The current content that is out right now from the live build is a cakewalk for everyone and will not be updated since the goal of Evolve is to look forward. The new content in the future will help provide more of a challenge for these newer changes that will be coming here in the next month or so. The project just went live this past October 2023, so feedback is always welcome on what you'd like to see in the future.

And to my knowledge, that world boss has not been taken down yet.

Overall, Jedi DPS in PvE can't compare to the other classes. An FRS Jedi is more for PvP than anything else.
