Create your account, download the launcher, and let it handle the complete client installation. No existing Star Wars Galaxies installation is required.

Create your account
You must create an account on the Evolve forums before you can access the game.

Download the installer
Choose the 64-bit installer for your platform. Evolve includes the first-ever native Linux client for Star Wars Galaxies. You do not need an existing copy of the game, and Evolve should be installed separately from other SWG servers.

Install and patch
Run the installer, choose a dedicated location for Evolve, and open the launcher. On Linux, allow the downloaded .run file to execute if prompted. The launcher will install and patch the game in that location.

Launch the game
When installation and patching are complete, the Play button will appear. Select Play to launch the game and enter the galaxy.

Join the official Discord
OptionalOptional, but recommended. Join Discord to meet the community, follow development, and get help from players and staff.

Verify your account
After creating your forum account and joining Discord, connect your Discord account to receive the correct community roles. Complete this step after joining the server.
Before you install
Choose your platform.
Install the 64-bit PC client or make SWG history with Evolve's first-ever native Linux client. Keep Evolve in its own folder, separate from any other SWG server installations.

If a patch stalls, an antivirus warning appears, or you are unsure where a file belongs, ask before guessing. Players and staff can help you get from install to character creation.
