Next window in the crafting process is Experimentation.

Left notice the number of Experimentation Points, this is effected by our characters Weapon Experimentation stat.
Center is where we place those experimentation points.
I typically place ALL points on Max Damage Modifier for the first attempt with NO points on Min Damage Modifier, For the first attempt.
If you get an Amazing Success you lose only 1 point. (In theory if you received a Critical Success you would lose 0 points).

Each time you experiment your Bespin Port Drink buff is used up.
Proceed to try attempt with all points on Min Damage Modifier, we need a second Amazing Success.

With 2 Amazing Success we are nearly perfect with what points remain. Place the remaining 1 Point in Max Damage Modifier.
Even on a Great Success it occupies the final box and is 100%.

We are looking forward to an update that will give us more experimentation points, for a short duration we had dual wield which allowed us to have both Max and Min Damage at 100%.
Next we have a choice, Prototype or Schematic.
We want Schematic for weapon Components. (For Weapon Core or Final Weapon we want Prototype).

We can make a factory run up to 1000 objects. If this is the best component you can craft, make as many as possible this will save you long term on resources verses crafting each component each time via Prototype.
You will need an Equipment Factory to proceed. Run outside to your equipment factory.

Radial the Equipment Factory with tilde "~".
1. Access schematic slot, and place the Tibanna Gas Cartridge in.
2. Access the station ingredient hopper and place the amount of resources you need complete a factory run of the schematic. 1000 multiplied by (Resource) = ?
3. Start manufacturing objects. Return when you need to obtain the component, it may take some time.
(Note you can access the output hopper while the factory is working by selecting Options).
PROCEED TO DO THIS WITH THE REMAINING COMPONENTS YOU WILL NEED TO CRAFT A WEAPON.
BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ALL YOUR NECESSARY BUFFS ACTIVE BEFORE PROCEEDING.
Once we have all the components crafted that we need to craft a weapon we will being crafting a Weapon Core.
Advanced Range Weapon Core.

In addition to resources you will notice I have added the following.
Tibanna Gas Cartridge, Elemental Plasma Chamber (Components you just learned about crafting in the Weapon Crafting Guide).
Weapon Power Bit (Covered at the end of the Reverse Engineering Guide https://www.swgevolve.com/threads/942/).
Range Weapon Augmentation and Enhancer (Obtain these from Daily Challenge https://www.swgevolve.com/threads/941/).
Once we reach the experimentation stage.

VERY IMPORTANT notice on the bottom Core Level. We want this all the way to max level 90, if not the weapon damage will be significantly reduced due to weapon level.
Notice I forgot a buff (Helper Monkey Munitions) and as a result I have only 16 experimentation points instead of 17.
Proceeding to finish the experimentation.

1 Amazing Success followed by 1 Great Success, along with the 1 less experimentation point, it didn't turn out great and far from perfect.
VERY IMPORTANT since this is not a component you will want to make this a prototype and NOT a schematic.
Once the Advanced Weapon Core is complete we will finish up crafting a weapon in the last part of this guide.
