Yatoya's Zero to Hero Guide

WIP (Work In Progress)

This is largely a collection of guides as broken up into section. In many sections the explanation will be very detailed to help new players that have never played SWG before. This guide will take a player from Level 1 to 90, fully equipped (including guidance to obtain looted/crafted gear), multi client guide, guide to buff stacking. PS It will include spoilers.

Before Starting please view my Creating a Character and Interface and Settings Guide.

I highly suggest you run the game in Windowed Mode and Borderless as this guide encourages using 3 characters at once.
Please review the AFK Policy in the Evolve Rules and Policies.

Creating Zero's
Recommend 3 characters. 1 Primary Combat, 1 Doctor, 1 Entertainer.
Why these 3 characters, to maximize the power of your Primary combat character you will need to stack buffs, which the Doctor and Entertainer provide the majority. Unlike many other popular SWG servers you have access to a total of 8 character slots, so lets put those slots to work.

Leave the Launcher window open, open up 3 Client windows and log them in. To switch between Client windows use "Alt+Tab(+Tab)" (Important avoid hitting "Enter" shortly after switching between clients otherwise you may trigger the client to crash as it tries to send Microsoft Windows command to go Full Screen).

The Entertainer,

The Doctor,

The Primary Combat,

First we are going to focus on the Entertainer to obtain a very valuable buff for all 3 characters. Head to the Cantina. Please follow the guide below for leveling The Entertainer.

Provide an Inspiration Buff for all 3 characters.

Second before adventuring with our band of 3 characters lets setup each one of them with macros. Here is a guide.

If you have followed my Macro guide your new Primary Combat character should be the leader. Activate the Join and Assist leader macro on your Entertainer and Doctor.

Suggest on your Primary Combat Character, use the /claim command and claim your reward that gives out the Desert Skiff, this barge will transport your characters around and supports 8 seats including the driver. You will also want to claim the Luxury Yacht, this will provide easy space travel.
(Note you may need to generate the vehicle outdoors, to do so open up your inventory by hitting "I" navigate to the Desert Skiff, Right Mouse Button Click and select Generate Vehicle, open up your Datapad by hitting "K" navigate to Data tab, highlight the Desert Skiff and Right Mouse Button Click option 1 Call. While at it you may want to quickly access this vehicle by dragging it from the Datapad to the Abilities Bar to one of the locations that does not have auto activation of abilities using macros).

Mount the Desert Skiff with your Primary Combat character, if the macro for Join and Assist are running on your Entertainer and Doctor, position the Desert Skiff over them and they should automatically mount, otherwise manually adjust there camera angle in there client window to mount the Desert Skiff.

Drive over to the Eisley Starport, walk inside and access the Starship Terminal, select you Luxury Yacht and select Travel, Select Mustafar, select Travel. Do the same with both the Entertainer and Doctor. (Note after a cut scene video many macro stop, you will need to restart them).

Equip the weapon of choice that you want experience in, when you turn in a quest you will gain Combat experience and Weapon experience.
I suggest for The Primary Combat character a Rifle since I will be suggesting a rifle build shortly.
I suggest for The Entertainer and Doctor a Pistol since I will be suggesting a pistol build shortly.

Follow this guide to get all the characters to level 90.

For the Entertainer please consider adjusting the build to the following guide.

For the Doctor please consider adjusting the build to the following guide.

For the Primary Combat we want to first obtain the needed Master Badges to obtain the Favor of the Elders Buff, here is the original guide.

We want the above buff but also transition into the rifle guide that will follow.
Take the shortest path in the following order to Marksman: Rifles III, Master Rifleman, Master Bounty Hunter (Then Pull Out Bounty Hunter), Master Squad Leader (Then Pull Out Squad Leader), Master Smuggler (Then Pull Out Smuggler), Master Doctor, Master Commando.

Transition now into the following rifle build. (Note you do not have a Bio Pet yet so do not take Beast Master, instead take Doctor: Reactive Heal, and Doctor: Advanced Reactive Heal, and Bacta Bomb, this should be 9 expertise points (possible update coming after 10-10-24)).

You should now have access to the following buffs.
Entertainer Inspiration
Lasting Performance (Entertainer) (ONLY IF YOU HAVE OBTAINED THE JEWELRY SET)
Stim (Squad Leader)
Experience Leadership (Squad Leader)
Drill Master (Squad Leader)
Focus Fire (Squad Leader)
Tactics (Squad Leader)
Junk Dealer Bonus (Smuggler)
Doctor Buffs: (All 7)
Favor of the Elders

Going to suggest at this time to regroup in Mos Eisley to organize Ability Bars and incorporate these buffs.
Once again refer to my guide to make button smasher Combat Macro.
We are going to start using a version of Start-att macro (Remove the att6 macro from the Start-att example macro) I normally assign the combat macro to "Q" and the dump macro to "E".
If you are following my guide, I suggest you setup your Ability Bars as follows.
1728677245379.jpeg
Note the One and Two dice located in slot 9,10 are the Join and Assist macro for easy access on the Doctor and Entertainer. Also the buffs are easily accessible on Bar 2 for both Doctor and Entertainer. Bar 2 is primarily setup for healing only, this may be important for the Heroic Exar Kun later in this guide.

Lets Prepare for the next part of the adventure with buffs.
1. Have the entertainer provide the following Inspiration buff to all members of the group.
Second Chance 1x (cost 2), Action Cost Reduction 1x (cost 5), Block Chance 1x (cost 5), Glancing Blow 1x (cost 5), Evasion Chance 1x (cost 2), Agility 1x (cost 1).
2. Off the Books, located in Slot 7 Entertainer. Dismiss the Junk Dealer to receive the buff.
3. With the Doctor switch the TARGET to the Doctor (This is important since Experienced Leadership will not apply unless a player is targeted) and activate all the buffs in Slots 1-12 on Bar 2. (Note Healing Stance in Slot 1 is a toggle only available to Master Doctor).
4. While OUTSIDE call for Medical Supply Drop, located in Doctor Bar 2 Row 2 Slot 9. Open the supply crate that lands and provide each character a few Field Stimpack and Tactical Serum. (I would place the Tactical Serum in Bar 1 Slot 12 for easy access, I would also replace the Bacta Infusion for the Primary Combat with the Field Stimpack, For the Doctor place it right next to Bacta Bomb, and for the Entertainer top left corner of the Abilities Bar).
5. Place Favor of the Elders buff in Slot 10 on the Primary Combat character, and activate Favor of the Elders buff.
This process is called buff stacking.

Each time you head out adventuring I suggest providing all these buffs to the characters, the Inspiration buff will be adjusted overtime to be more specialized to each role and ability.

Time to transition into Hero's
(Note once you complete the Second Step below you should be equipped well enough to assist and complete most game content with this team, I do not recommend Heroics with this team alone until after the Fifth Step).

First Step we are going to get some new armor.

Second Step we are going to upgrade the weapons. (For the Zero to Hero guide I recommend doing just the Range Weapons Guide).

Two-Handed Guide.

Third Step we are going to get a few more buffs and enhancements.

Fourth Step we are going to get crafted gear.
Please consider the guides below to learn how to obtain and create this gear.

If you don't want to do the crafting yourself pay someone else to do it, below is a guide to obtaining credits.

Harvesting Materials Guide.

Reverse Engineering Guide

Weapon Crafting Guide.

Armor Crafting Guide.

Fifth Step we are going to get Heroic Jewelry Sets.
To obtain Heroic Jewelry Sets you need to obtain Tokens. Heroic encounters are normally called OG, guessing Original Game heroics. Each time a character completes one of these Heroics they get a Token corresponding to the Heroic. Once you have enough Tokens you can trade them with the Jedi Vendor or Sivarra Mecheaux, Dageerin.
/way tatooine 3536 0 -4839 Jedi Vendor;
/way tatooine 3536 0 -4834 Sivarra Mecheaux;
/way dathomir 5255 0 -4149 Dageerin;
/way dathomir 5355 0 -4161 Sivarra Mecheaux;

(If you have not claimed your one time Jewelry Set reward you can /claim one set free)

Here is a collection of tip guides I have compiled to complete the Heroic's.

By this point in the guide you have completed prepare work on any potential character.

What to do next?
