What is the Force Ranking System
*Disclaimer: The Force Ranking System is a PvP style system, which in order to progress, requires PvP kills of other Jedi/Dark Jedi. Those who do not want to participate, do not need to enter into the Force Ranking System, and may play their Jedi strictly PvE.
-The Force Ranking System (FRS) is a way for Jedi to earn extra rewards/items for participating in FRS qualifying events. Jedi as intended here on Evolve is a strong Alpha-like class that carries certain risk and rewards by being one. Once you have unlocked Jedi you have the option of joining the FRS in either the Light or Dark Enclave and competing with other Jedi to rank up in this system.
The Enclaves are not dependent on your faction. Meaning Yes, you can be a Rebel and be in the Dark Enclave, or be an Imperial and be in the Light Enclave.
FRS Ranks
There are 6 ranks in the FRS:
-Jedi Padawan
-Jedi Knight/Dark Jedi Knight
-Jedi Sentinel/Dark Jedi Enforcer
-Jedi Consular/Dark Jedi Templar
-Jedi Arbiter/Dark Jedi Oppressor
-Jedi Council/Dark Jedi Council
Each rank has their own unique robes that can be made by any Jedi if they invest in the Jedi Artisan Tree (and are tradeable). You will be unable to wear a higher tier robe until you achieve that rank.
Example of some FRS robes
Once you decide to join the FRS and choose an enclave you now suffer from Jedi Visibility. Meaning that Rank 1 members (Padawans) are visible to other players and can be attacked if they are wearing their robes and have their saber equipped. Similar to being Special Forces in GCW, but different in that you cannot attack players until they attack you. Simply removing your saber and robe will remove that visibility and you can go about your day visiting various places and searching the bazaar etc. Rank 2 (Jedi Knight/Dark Jedi Knight) and above are permanently Special Forces, but similar to Rank 1, cannot attack another player unless they attack the Jedi first (Opposing SF players are fair game).
**Include other intricacies here**
-Okay Chavex, that sounds cool. I picked my Enclave, now how do I rank up?
In order to progress up the FRS ladder, you must earn FRS XP. FRS XP is awarded to PvP kills of opposing Enclave members. Meaning if you are a Light Enclave member, you have to kill Dark Enclave members or vice versa. There are some restrictions to FRS XP; FRS XP cannot be gained in Battlefields, Group members/Guild members are not eligible for FRS XP.
FRS Tokens
In addition to FRS XP, FRS kills also will grant FRS Tokens. Similar to any other token in the game, you can stockpile these tokens and purchase items from the FRS Vendors which are located at each Enclave (remember, you also get a fast travel command to the Enclaves).
Achieving/Maintaining Ranks:
Similar in concept to GCW Ranks, there is Decay associated with FRS ranks. There is also a weekly cap on FRS XP/FRS Tokens that you can get in one week. Meaning that it will take more than one week to achieve certain ranks. This is intended, and the higher ranks are to be rewarded to those who are able to maintain a steady strain of FRS XP.
Bounties:
Each FRS kill you achieve, you will automatically have a bounty placed upon your head, and each subsequent kill will increase that bounty. Jedi need to keep their heads on a swivel, as they are more than likely always being hunted.
Opt Out:
-Okay Chavex, I tried it, I didn't like it, do I have to hide in my house all the time now?
No, you don't. For those that want to keep their Jedi PvE and not be part of the FRS, you can use the command: /resignFromFRS That will take you out of the FRS, you will lose your rank and available cloaks, but at the same time no longer have to worry about visibility, being locked SF, etc. The choice is yours.
