Okay, I can understand what he's suggesting now. I'm gonna counter that with, we have no where NEAR the development staff to do that kind of development and release regularly. It's a great idea, but on a volunteer project, you would need a dev staff of 15-20 to turn out regular content like that.

I can totally see your point with there being a lack of dev staff to support an idea like this. however my next rebuttle would be that not every reward from a season pass is great. and you could put a bunch of awesome stuff in it.

like every 10 - 15 levels it grants something special like a TCG item not yet available on the server, or a special loot item, or a looted sub-component like a DE-10 barrel
up to 100 levels. It wouldnt take long to flush out the first season or 2 using current stuff that is in the game already. giving lots of time to work on planned future content.

Not at all. Those are standard in game events just like any other game.

Doom is talking about adding a separate thing from standardized "holiday" events where you can. "earn a separate type of experience to level them up" TBH 99% of games are doing it now. SWTOR, New World, have their own take on an MMO stylized battle pass. Which is really interesting. Keeps players engaged for a few months without the developer having to rush to implement new content every couple of weeks to keep their community engaged. It also reduces the necessity of adding additional stress to staff to run in game events. So they can focus on implementing QoL updates, new items, and content in the future. SWTOR, and New World utilize their battle passes as a Time Stamp for when "roughly" the next season/ Content patch will release.

I like this idea. and I second it.
